Cote d'Ivoire

　　The full name of C ô te d'Ivore is the Republic of C ô te d'Ivore. In French, C ô te d'Ivoire means "Ivory Coast". At the request of the Chinese government, the people's Republic of China is transliterated as C ô te d'Ivoire. The United Nations has used this transliteration since December 31, 1985. It is a West African country, adjacent to Ghana, Liberia, Guinea, Mali and Burkina Faso. The coastline is about 500 kilometers long.

　　C ô te d'Ivoire's foreign trade surplus year after year occupies an important position in the national economy.
